Perez praised the McLaren driver’s initiative and confirmed that he is working on something similar with his manager, Khalil Beschir: “I really think what Lando did is very cool. It’s a very interesting project. On my part, at some point in my career, I would like to do something like that,” he said.

Perez also avoided revealing which people will be involved in the initiative. According to him, the project will have a worldwide reach and will not be limited to Mexican drivers, although he recognizes the difficulties faced by Latin American competitors in securing financial support: “For Latin drivers, it is even harder because of the financial situation,” he added, recalling that Carlos Slim’s support was fundamental for his own arrival in F1.
