Peter Bayer, CEO of Racing Bulls, stated how Max Verstappen’s renewal with Red Bull until the 2030 Formula 1 season ‘calms the whole system’ of the driver market, as he is an influential name both in the Austrian team and in other teams.

The silly season in this year’s paddock involved several names – besides the four-time world champion, Carlos Sainz was indicated to leave Williams and go to Audi. In the end, the Spaniard renewed a multi-year contract with the British team.
And with the Dutchman staying in the main team, Racing Bulls also has a clearer future scenario, as it does not live with the possibility of either Arvid Lindblad or Liam Lawson being promoted to teammates of Isack Hadjar.
“Great news about Max, honestly, because this obviously calms the whole environment and, at the same time, we are very pleased with both Liam and Arvid and the work they are doing,” he said.

The team has already stated some time ago that it is not in a hurry to define the F1 drivers, and Bayer promptly reiterated that the team principal, Alan Permane, will make the decision at the right time. “We are not in a hurry. We have a good group of drivers emerging in the young talent program,” he added, referring to Nikola Tsolov.
“I believe Alan really wants to keep everyone calm and focused; he will decide the perfect moment to communicate the drivers and the whole team.”
