Formula 1 returns to the tracks this weekend for the Italian Grand Prix, the 13th round of the 2026 season. Between September 4 and 6, drivers and teams speed up at the traditional Monza National Autodrome, one of the most historic and fastest circuits on the calendar.

The round takes place after a week without track activities and continues the second part of the championship. After the return from the summer break at the Dutch GP, the category now faces a completely different challenge on Italian soil.
Known as the “Temple of Speed,” Monza is 5.793 km long and has long straights as one of its main features. Teams use low downforce setups to reduce drag and seek the highest possible speeds, while also needing to ensure stability in the strong braking zones.
The circuit also features some of the most well-known sections of Formula 1, such as the Lesmo corners, the Ascari chicane, and the Alboreto curve, formerly Parabolica. The long acceleration zones and the slipstream effect can also favor battles for position during the race.

The Italian GP will be held in a conventional format. Friday will have the first two free practice sessions, while Saturday will be reserved for FP3 and qualifying. The race takes place on Sunday, with the start scheduled for 10:00 Brasília time.

In Brazil, all weekend sessions will be broadcast on Sportv, while F1 TV Pro/Premium also airs all activities. Sunday’s race will also be broadcast by TV Globo.
