Ferrari is preparing a special tribute to Michael Schumacher for the Italian GP in Monza. The team will use a commemorative livery on the SF-26, in reference to the German’s legacy in Formula 1 and with the Scuderia itself.

This initiative is still being treated as a preparation by Ferrari, which has been dropping hints about the tribute through social media posts. The homage is also linked to two important anniversaries in the relationship between Schumacher and the Italian team.
According to AutoRacer, the car design should combine red and black elements with golden wheels, in a visual reference to the 1996 Ferrari F310. This year’s Italian GP will mark thirty years since Schumacher’s first victory for Ferrari, achieved precisely in 1996, and two decades since his last triumph in F1, in 2006.
Ferrari also plans other actions to celebrate the German driver before the race and during the weekend in Monza. Schumacher won five consecutive titles for the team, between 2000 and 2004, in addition to winning 72 of his 91 races with the Maranello team.

Monza holds a special place in this trajectory. Schumacher won the Italian GP five times with Ferrari, and in 2006, he announced his first retirement immediately after triumphing at the Italian circuit.
The German ended his Formula 1 career with seven world titles, a record he currently shares with Lewis Hamilton. The Briton, who now drives for Ferrari, secured his first victory for the team in Barcelona in June, and is third in the championship, 59 points behind Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli.
