The decision was awaited during the August break, when Alonso would evaluate if he still wanted to continue competing in the category. According to GPblog, several sources indicate that Alonso will continue at Aston Martin next season. The expectation is that the announcement will take place in Madrid, during the Spanish GP weekend, although the team and the driver have not yet officially released anything.
