Aston Martin announced this Thursday (20) that Robert Wood Johnson, former United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom, has acquired a minority strategic stake in the company and will assume, with immediate effect, the position of Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors in the Formula 1 team.

With experience in investments in sports franchises and a broad network of relationships, Johnson will focus primarily on the commercial growth of the team, especially in the United States. He will not have roles in the day-to-day management of the company and Lawrence Stroll will continue to be responsible for the leadership and control of Aston Martin.
