McLaren has confirmed that it will bring updates for this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix in Formula 1 to maintain the good momentum from before the summer break.

The last race before the three-week break was the Hungarian GP, where Lando Norris secured pole position and converted it into a victory with a 15-second advantage over Max Verstappen, who finished second.
The step forward came thanks to a significant package of updates, and now in Zandvoort more novelties will be introduced. The parts will focus on the “rear, to complete the package introduced in Hungary: a new rear wing and new rear brake ducts.”
However, it should not be forgotten that it will be an F1 Sprint weekend. “We arrive at the Zandvoort weekend after finishing the last race before the summer break with a victory and a solid performance, but we are very aware of how tight the competition is and how important reliability will be,” said Neil Houdley, technical director.

“We learned a lot in the first part of the season about how this car needs to be driven to extract performance and how to manage the problems we faced at the start of the year. We also worked hard as a team on continuous development, with some parts available this weekend focused on the rear, to complete the package introduced in Hungary with a new rear wing and new rear brake ducts,” he continued.
“But we know other teams will also bring updates. So, it will be another tough race, and our focus is to extract as much as possible from the car. If we do a good job, we can get into the fight with the front teams,” he concluded.
