The 2026 Formula 1 season reached the August break with an unusual statistic. In the first eleven races of the year, no podium formation was repeated, with each GP ending with a different combination of three drivers among the top finishers.

This sequence started in Australia, where George Russell won with Kimi Antonelli in second and Charles Leclerc in third. In China, Antonelli took the victory, Russell finished second and Lewis Hamilton completed the podium, starting a series of distinct combinations that remained intact until the Hungarian GP.
Antonelli won again in Japan, this time accompanied by Oscar Piastri and Leclerc. In Miami, the Italian again climbed to first place, but had Lando Norris and Piastri alongside him. In Canada, Hamilton and Max Verstappen completed the podium with Antonelli, while in Monaco Hamilton was again among the top three, accompanied by Pierre Gasly, who inherited third place after Isack Hadjar lost the position.

This sequence continued in Spain, with Hamilton, Russell and Norris on the podium, and in Austria, when Russell won ahead of Verstappen and Antonelli. At Silverstone, Leclerc took the victory, Russell was second and Hamilton finished third. In Belgium, Antonelli won again, with Leclerc and Verstappen in the following positions.
The Hungarian GP extended the record to eleven different combinations in eleven GPs. Norris achieved his first win of the year, Verstappen finished second and Antonelli completed the podium, keeping the curious sequence intact before the category’s break.
