Gabriel Bortoleto outlined the expectations for the second half of the 2026 Formula 1 season. Speaking exclusively to F1MANIA.NET, the Brazilian commented on what he expects until the end of the championship.

With 11 rounds contested so far, the Audi driver counts on appearances in Q3, in addition to having scored ten of the German team’s 12 points, appearing in 14th place in the Drivers’ World Championship.

With such positive results in the first part of the calendar, when asked by F1MANIA.NET during a KitKat event about the expectations for the second half of F1 2026, Bortoleto replied, “look, honestly, the gap between the fifth best team and the fourth is unfortunately very big, so, we will hardly be able to, I don’t know, reach a McLaren, Red Bull today as the fourth best force.”

“What I would say I would be very happy about is if we managed to finish the year consistently ahead of the Racing Bulls, which today is something that is not easy, we are fighting hard with them and they are a step ahead of us still. If we managed to finish the year ahead of them I would be very happy, but anyway, the way we are, in the position we are already is something very positive,” he continued.
“I know the plans we have for the future evolution of the car, the engine, and I am looking long term and I am very excited about what we have to bring,” he concluded.
