Max Verstappen will have one last chance at the Dutch Grand Prix in Formula 1 to equal a record in Zandvoort that dates back to the 1960s: the number of wins at the event.

The 2026 season will feature the final edition of the Dutch race and will carry greater significance for the Red Bull driver. After all, it will be the opportunity to reach a mark that has lasted for nearly six decades by Jim Clark.
The Briton holds four wins at the Dutch GP, having triumphed in 1963, 1964, 1965, and one last time in 1967. Meanwhile, the home driver and four-time champion has almost all the wins since the race returned to the calendar, winning from 2021 to 2023 and could equal Clark this year.

It so happens that the situation of the four-time F1 champion is not so comfortable, as he arrived at the summer break without having achieved a single win. In 11 races, he was on the podium four times, twice in second place – Austria and Hungary.
Except for his debut year with Toro Rosso in 2015, Verstappen had only finished the first half of the season without a win once, in 2017, when he had competitiveness issues and only reached the top step of the podium in Malaysia, the 15th race of that calendar.
