Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, from Audi, was the fastest driver on the second and final day of Formula 1 tire development testing for the 2027 season. The Pirelli activity took place this Wednesday (29), at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary, and also featured the participation of Argentine Franco Colapinto, from Alpine.

During the session, the drivers evaluated different versions of the C3, C4, and C5 compounds used by the category. The work included qualifying simulations and also race pace tests. With higher temperatures compared to the first day of activities, the track reached a maximum asphalt temperature of 59°C.

Bortoleto ended the day leading the timing sheet with a time of 1min19s917. The Brazilian completed 116 laps on the circuit, totaling 508 kilometers covered. Colapinto, in turn, closed the session with a time of 1min20s139 after 139 laps, accumulating 609 kilometers.

Over the two days of testing at Hungaroring, Pirelli also had the participation of Jak Crawford, Aston Martin reserve driver, who was in action on Tuesday. In total, the work resulted in 660 laps completed and 2,892 kilometers of data collected for tire development.

The next dry-weather tire development activity by Pirelli is scheduled for August 26 and 27, at the Mugello circuit in Italy, days after the Dutch GP, which marks the return of F1 after the European summer break.
