Liam Lawson made an appeal for Racing Bulls to maintain their strong competitive performance for the rest of the 2026 Formula 1 season after being the ‘best of the rest’ at the Hungarian GP.

The New Zealander finished in eighth place at Hungaroring, with Arvid Lindblad crossing the finish line in tenth. With the result, the team managed to overtake Alpine in the Constructors’ Championship, now occupying fifth place in the standings.
“Yes, this was definitely a stage where we thought they would be the strongest team [in the midfield]; so beating them here is something very, very positive,” he said.

“Obviously, as we enter the second half of the year, this also puts us ahead of Alpine, which was our goal before the break. Now, we need to try to maintain this performance for the rest of the year,” he concluded.
