The 2026 NASCAR Brazil season is entering the final stretch and this Saturday’s challenge will be at the Cuiabá (MT) Racetrack, a track that will host the category for the first time in the Night Challenge. According to Gabriel Casagrande, three-time NASCAR Special Edition champion and overall champion, one of the main challenges of the weekend will be the heat for the drivers (forecast of a maximum of 37ºC), in addition to the schedule featuring two consecutive races.

“We will have great challenges to face in Cuiabá. The heat might be the biggest inside the car, but luckily in NASCAR we have the window open to ventilate a bit. It is a high-speed corner track, so the car needs to be well prepared,” says Casagrande, who is sponsored by Baterias Júpiter, Axalta, OnPetro, STP, Cresol, RP Info, UFI Filters, Chevrolet, and OMP.
Winner at the Cascavel (PR) and Santa Cruz do Sul (RS) stages, Casagrande has accumulated 109 points in the standings, occupies third place, and is 10 points behind the leader. The Paraná native praised the lighting of the Cuiabá track and expects very exciting races.

“The experience of racing at night in Cuiabá is very good. We have already raced there twice in another category, the lighting is really sensational and we hope it will be a great show for everyone. We will have this novelty of two races very close to each other, so we have to worry about having the car in good condition to endure both races,” Casagrande adds.
The NASCAR Brazil activities start this Thursday with the first free practice at 9:35 PM. The second practice is scheduled for 6:10 PM on Saturday and on the same day the sequence with qualifying followed by the Sprint Race starts at 9:35 PM. The first race is scheduled for 6:05 PM on Saturday and the second starts at 6:50 PM on Sunday (Brasília time).
