Last weekend, the category confirmed that the Bahrain GP, which was canceled in April due to the war in the Middle East, will take place from October 2 to 4 in Sepang.

Considering the characteristics of the circuit, the ex-F1 driver pointed out that Max Verstappen, who won the last race held in 2017, and Kimi Antonelli should perform well.

“It’s one of those tracks to drive aggressively, demanding a lot from the car. I think it’s an incredible track for someone like Max, who likes to drive like that. I believe Antonelli will also do well there. So, it will be very exciting to follow. Besides, it will be very hot,” he said.
James Hinchcliffe, who also participated in the broadcast alongside Montoya, stated that F1’s initiative to race in Sepang is a “brilliant partnership to ensure we have one more race this season,” also saying he had never been to the location before.
