Racing Bulls finished the first half of the Formula 1 season on a high, placing both of its cars in the points zone at the Hungarian GP. The result moved the team to fifth position in the Constructors’ Championship before the August break.

Liam Lawson finished the race in eighth, while Arvid Lindblad secured tenth place. The performance also allowed the team to overtake Audi in the standings, crowning a weekend that, according to team members, was marked by strong performance in both qualifying and the race.
Team principal Alan Permane highlighted the importance of the result and praised the execution of the work: “It was a long and difficult race, but we were rewarded with a fantastic double celebration, with two cars in the points and climbing to fifth place in the Constructors’ Championship, something we all worked very hard for,” he stated.
Permane also emphasized the direct battle with Audi: “It was a good battle with Audi, very balanced, but in the end, we came out on top. The car was strong in both qualifying and the race, and everything was executed flawlessly by the team,” he said.

Lawson, who had faced difficulties in qualifying, highlighted the importance of the start and the strategy adopted: “The first corner and the first lap were very important for me, considering I had a complicated qualifying session. After a good start, we knew it would be a long race, but the car was very strong throughout the event,” he commented. The New Zealander also thanked the team for choosing the two-stop strategy.
Lindblad, meanwhile, classified the result as further proof of the car’s evolution throughout the year: “The team did an incredible job developing the car, and it’s great to see all that effort being rewarded. It wasn’t an easy race for anyone in the midfield; it was physically and mentally demanding,” he added.
The young driver admitted he didn’t make the most of the start as he would have liked, but sees it as part of the learning process for the second half of the season. Both he and Lawson highlighted Racing Bulls’ good momentum before the return of activities, scheduled for the Dutch GP in Zandvoort.
