Williams left frustrated after the first free practice sessions of the Formula 1 Hungarian GP. Both Alexander Albon and Carlos Sainz lamented the difficulties encountered in the sessions at the Hungaroring.

Throughout the two hours of activities at the Hungarian circuit, the British team completed 115 laps. In the end, the duo remained at the bottom of the time sheets with Alexander finishing the day only in 16th.
“Conditions were difficult today. We made good progress between sessions and our low-fuel pace seems reasonable, but considering the temperature and the asphalt, it’s hard to distinguish what is due to the car setup and what is a consequence of the changing conditions,” said Albon.
“Aston took a big step this weekend — they are the ones we need to try and beat, and that will make Q1 a challenge. We still have work to do overnight to maximize tomorrow’s opportunities,” he added.

Meanwhile, Sainz, who suffered from problems throughout the day in Hungary, finished only in 17th place. “A complicated Friday in Hungary, as expected. This track exposes our main weaknesses, and we are struggling to find the ideal car balance,” he said.
“We will use the weekend to explore different setup paths and see how we can improve on tracks like this, where we know we are at a disadvantage. The rest of the weekend will be dedicated to collecting valuable data and extracting the maximum possible performance from this package,” he concluded.
