FIA document shows Aston Martin with 16 declared updates for Budapest, ahead of McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull, and Racing Bulls.

The FIA released the document with the updates declared by the teams for the Formula 1 Hungarian GP, at the Hungaroring. The material shows Aston Martin as the main highlight in terms of new features, with 16 updates registered for the Budapest round.
McLaren appears next, with five changes, while Mercedes, Red Bull, and Racing Bulls declared three updates each. Ferrari and Williams presented two items, while Haas, Audi, and Cadillac registered one new feature each. Alpine was the only team without declared updates in the FIA document.
Unlike the Belgian GP, at Spa-Francorchamps, where many new features were aimed at reducing drag and improving efficiency on straights, Hungary led teams to seek more downforce, better balance in low and medium-speed corners, and greater cooling capacity.
Ranking of updates for the Hungarian GP
1st – Aston Martin: 16 declared updates
Aston Martin comfortably leads the list of new features for the Hungarian GP. The team brought a comprehensive package, involving front wing, front wing endplate, nose, front assembly, floor, internal floor strakes, floor edge, diffuser, sidepod inlet, engine cover, cooling outlets, rear suspension, rear assembly, rear wing, beam wing, and rear wing endplate. It’s a complete package aimed at increasing downforce and improving the integration between the front, floor, and rear.
2nd – McLaren: 5 declared updates
McLaren appears as the second team with the most new features in the document. The team declared changes to the rear wing, floor, front assembly, front brake cooling outlet, and rear assembly. The general interpretation is a package aimed at improving airflow organization, increasing aerodynamic support, and meeting the cooling requirements of the Hungaroring.
3rd – Mercedes: 3 declared updates
Mercedes brought three changes to Budapest. The team modified the rear wing, engine cover, and a small aerodynamic piece in the central rear region of the car. The package seeks more downforce at the rear and greater cooling capacity, which is important on a tight track with lower average speed.
3rd – Red Bull: 3 declared updates
Red Bull also declared three new features. The changes are to the rear wing, the floor in the diffuser area, and a new configuration of rear wing elements. The team sought more aerodynamic support and airflow stability, especially at the rear of the car.

Racing Bulls appears tied with Mercedes and Red Bull. The team brought changes to the upper air inlet, rear wing, and cooling vents. The package combines aerodynamic gain with greater cooling capacity for the Hungaroring conditions.

6th – Ferrari: 2 declared updates
Ferrari declared two updates, both related to the rear wing and rear wing endplate. The team presented a new design to increase downforce at the rear, with the possibility of using small additional fins to generate more support, albeit with a loss of aerodynamic efficiency.
6th – Williams: 2 declared updates
Williams also presented two new features. The team modified the rear wing and floor, with specific changes for the Hungaroring. The objective is to increase downforce at the rear and adjust the car’s behavior to the demands of a track with many corners.
8th – Haas: 1 declared update
Haas brought an update to the rear wing. The change aims to increase aerodynamic support at the rear of the car, through a small flap on the wing’s edge and alterations to the fairing in the rear wing area.
8th – Audi: 1 declared update
Audi, Gabriel Bortoleto’s team, declared a change to the rear wing endplate. The update seeks local downforce gain and improved overall car efficiency.
8th – Cadillac: 1 declared update
Cadillac presented a new feature in the front assembly, aimed at brake cooling. The team increased the air inlet and outlet areas of the ducts, seeking to improve cooling capacity.
11th – Alpine: no updates declared
Alpine was the only team that did not present updates in the FIA technical document for the Hungarian GP. This does not prevent setup changes throughout the weekend, but it indicates that the team did not register new parts for Budapest.
