Cadillac has set aside the asymmetrical livery that marked its Formula 1 debut and adopted a new, more conventional visual scheme for the 2026 season. According to team principal Graeme Lowdon, the change was influenced by the positive fan reaction to the special livery used at the Miami GP.

The American team drew attention when revealing its first design during the Super Bowl LX halftime show. The car had one side entirely white and the other in deep black, separated by a gradient in the central part, creating the impression of two different cars depending on the angle.

The livery was used in the first races of 2026, until the Spanish GP. After that, Cadillac began using a unified black and white look, inspired by the model presented in Miami. Lowdon explained that the initial proposal was to show a different approach within Formula 1:

“We’ve had a few liveries,” Lowdon told the press. “We started, as you said, with an asymmetrical livery. We unveiled it during the Super Bowl halftime show, which, again, we thought was just another way to show that the team wants to approach Formula 1 a little differently. We said we would try to bring some different things to Formula 1. I think that was a very positive attitude, and we used that livery for a while.”
Cadillac is still looking for its first point in the category with Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas.
