Audi arrives at the Hungarian F1 GP next weekend with renewed confidence after scoring points in the last two rounds. The recent performance has increased the team’s expectations for the last race before the category’s summer break, with the goal of maintaining the positive streak in Budapest.

The results achieved in previous races are seen internally as a reflection of the work done throughout the season. At the same time, they serve as an incentive for the team to continue evolving in different areas before the start of the second half of the championship.
Allan McNish, Audi’s competition director, highlighted that the progress shown in recent races has been encouraging: “Recent races have shown the progress our team has been making, and it’s encouraging to see that translating into concrete results. Finishing in a scoring position in two consecutive races is a reward for the work done at our three facilities, but it also motivates us to continue working hard,” he stated.
According to McNish, the Hungaroring circuit represents another opportunity to expand this growth: “Every weekend gives us the chance to learn more about our car and improve as a team, and we want to make the most of this last opportunity before the break,” he said.
Nico Hulkenberg highlighted that the proximity between rounds helps the team quickly refocus on the next challenge. The German believes that the potential recently demonstrated could yield another good result, provided the team can execute a weekend without setbacks.

“We showed enough last weekend to know that there is potential, so the priority now is to have a clean weekend. It’s a completely different type of circuit, and if we can get the car in a good window from the start and avoid the problems that have cost us dearly recently, we should be in a good position to compete where we want,” concluded Hulkenberg.
Gabriel Bortoleto also highlighted the positive impact of recent points finishes: “Scoring points in the last two races has given everyone a big boost, and it’s something we want to keep building on. We have been evolving in recent rounds, and the goal now is to take that to Hungary this weekend,” he commented.
The Brazilian recalled the experience gained at the Hungarian circuit last year, and hopes to end the first part of the season on a high: “I really enjoyed racing here last year, so I’m looking forward to coming back. It would be great to finish the first part of the season with another strong result for the whole team,” he added.
