Speculation about a possible move for Oliver Bearman to Red Bull remains high in Formula 1, although the Haas driver himself downplays the matter. During the Belgian GP, the Briton stated that it’s “just rumors,” but admitted he feels “flattered” by the speculation.

The possibility gained traction after Sky Sports F1 commentator, David Croft, revealed during the British GP that Red Bull is closely monitoring the young driver’s progress: “I know Red Bull is keeping a very close eye on Ollie Bearman. If he doesn’t have a path into Ferrari, this could be a very good option for Red Bull and for Ollie.”
Croft also highlighted the connection between Bearman and Red Bull’s team principal, Laurent Mekies. “Laurent Mekies, the team principal, was the man who signed Ollie Bearman for the Ferrari Academy.”
The situation at Ferrari helps explain the rumors. Bearman remains linked to the Italian team and on loan to Haas on a reported 2+1 contract, but Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton have long-term ties, leaving the path to the Italian team practically closed.

Meanwhile, the possibility of Bearman replacing Max Verstappen at Red Bull divides opinions. According to a survey by RacingNews365, a portion of fans believes the Briton has already shown potential to occupy a spot in a top team, highlighting his early career and the lack of opportunities at Ferrari.
Conversely, almost the same number of voters believe that more experienced and established drivers, such as George Russell and Oscar Piastri, would be better choices. A smaller group preferred not to take sides and believes Bearman still needs more time to prove he is ready for such a challenge.
