Gabriel Bortoleto had a very positive outcome at the Belgian Grand Prix of Formula 1 this Sunday (19). For the second consecutive round, the Brazilian managed to finish in the points zone, celebrating Audi’s strategy.

The competitor started from eighth position at Spa-Francorchamps. At the start, he lost three positions and went to 11th, but as the laps went by, he managed to recover ground, the team got the timing of the stop right, and in the end, he received the checkered flag inside the top 10.
With this, Gabriel added four more points in the standings and now totals ten. Speaking with SporTV after the race, he commented that he couldn’t ask for more with the result and is already aiming to seek more in Hungary next week.

“To be honest, I am very happy. It was an incredible weekend, with Q3, P8 now. I couldn’t ask for more than that with the car we have. We didn’t expect to be ahead of the Racing Bulls, I think we didn’t have the pace, to be honest. I think we managed to bet on a strategy to extend the first stint and come out with a bit more tire advantage, I managed to get ahead of them,” he said.
“They tried to recover, [Arvid] Lindblad, for example, but I managed to stay ahead of them. I am very happy because I think it was a weekend where it was clear that we would be a step behind them, and finishing ahead is very good. And next week there is another track that I think suits our car better,” he added.
