F1 announces Las Vegas GP to remain on calendar until 2037

Formula 1 announced on Thursday night (4) the continuation of the Las Vegas GP. The agreement was closed with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Clark County.

In its current phase, the Las Vegas GP is held on a 6.2 km circuit in the Las Vegas Strip area, with drivers reaching speeds above 322 km/h. The route includes the casino area, such as Bellagio, Wynn Las Vegas, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, and Caesars Palace. The latter hosted races in the category on a circuit in its parking lot in the 1980s.

“We are very excited that Formula 1 will continue to compete in Las Vegas for many years. Since its debut in 2023, the event has been extraordinary, quickly establishing itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, top-tier celebrities, and influencers,” said Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula 1.

Since joining the calendar in 2023, three races have been held. Max Verstappen won on two occasions, in 2023 and 2025, while George Russell triumphed in 2024, in a race that featured 113 overtakes and earned the Dutchman from Red Bull his fourth world title. More than that, in these three years, the economic impact on the region was 3.2 billion dollars.

“The GP has had a strong and lasting impact on the local economy and community. We always believed that Las Vegas would become a pillar of our presence in the United States, and this extension, along with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market. I would like to thank the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Clark County, and the LVCVA for their continued support, passion, and vision,” Domenicali concludes.

“Securing a 10-year extension until 2037 is a decisive moment for the Las Vegas GP and a reflection of the strength of our local partnerships. I am immensely proud of the team we have built in Las Vegas and our shared commitment to supporting the Southern Nevada community. We are deeply grateful to the Clark County Commission, the LVCVA, our hotel partners, and the broader Las Vegas community for their continued collaboration and support in making this event a reality,” said Emily Prazer, president of the Las Vegas GP.

“The extension of our partnership with F1 for the next decade is a landmark moment for both Las Vegas and the GP. In just three years, the race has become a benchmark global event, placing Las Vegas at the center of culture, competition, and entertainment during race week,” explained Steve Hill, president and CEO of the LVCVA.

“As the world’s spotlight turns to Las Vegas, the event continues to reinforce our evolution as a premier sports and entertainment destination. Built for spectacle and designed to host the world’s biggest moments, Las Vegas is proud to continue this dynamic partnership with Formula 1 for the next decade and beyond,” Hill adds.
